Water Storage
Sometimes a windmill will provide water while it’s not needed, and sometimes water is required when there is no wind. Therefore it is often necessary to store water. This can be done in plastic containers, but they are quite expensive. A better solution is to use a tank from cement and iron wire, known as ferro-cement tanks. Ferro-cement tanks consists of iron wire and a layer of cement. Ferro-cement tanks are cheap, strong, and can be made in different sizes easily. These tanks are also easy to repair and durable. The cost of a tank or basin are usually as high as a windmill. Ferro-cement tanks are often used with windmills, rainwater collection systems, etc.
On the WOT site, the ferro-cement tanks is used in combination with the Kijito Windmill.
